I view his work I see beauty, art, and fantasy.
Prasad has worked on editorials such as ELLE India, L'Officiel, Vogue, Marie Claire India, Flim Fare, and
International Magazine. He has shot celebrities
John Abraham, Linda Evangelista, Abhishek Bachchan,
Kunal Kapoor, Kajol, and Jiah Khan to name a few.

Can you tell me a little about your journey as a
photographer from when you began to now?
Prasad Naik:
I graduated from Art College in 1996, I always knew
I wanted to do Photography so I started straight away.
EFM: Where do you now reside?
PN:
I live in Mumbai, India.
EFM:
Do you have a favorite camera
you like to use, if so what is it?
PN:
My favorite Camera would
have to be the Leica R9.
EFM:
What inspires you?
PN:
Traveling inspires me, I’m constantly observing and
learning new things when I travel. I enjoy seeing
different places and meeting new people.
EFM:
What is the most rewarding
thing about your job?
PN:
The most
rewarding thing about my job would be to always be able
to create something new and different in Art.


EFM: What is your typical day
like?
PN:
I go for a swim in the
morning, watch films at home, this is on the days that I
don’t have shoots.
EFM:
What is your perception
on art and fashion?
PN:
Something that is graphic and
simple and surreal at the same time would perfectly
define art and fashion.
EFM: How would you describe
your style as a fashion photographer?
PN:
I prefer very simple and surreal
images, as you would notice in my work.
EFM:
What are your latest projects
that you are currently working on?
PN:
The latest projects I’ve been
working on are Levi’s, Vodafone, Nivea, Vogue Magazine,
GQ Magazine and Shoots for Harper’s Bazaar
Magazine.
EFM:
What advice can you give to other aspiring fashion
photographers?
PN: I would
like to say just one thing, one shouldn’t get stuck in
the technical aspect of Photography, there is much more
to it.
